The holidays are coming quickly, bringing with them all the beauty we love — joy, celebration, music, gifts, family, and meaningful traditions.
But they also tend to bring the other side: stress, overfull calendars, constant noise, traffic, pressure to buy more, do more, and somehow keep it all together.
This season has a way of pulling us into the rush. Our culture practically shouts at us to spend money we don’t have, buy things we don’t need, and sprint through our days without a moment to breathe. A little extra activity this time of year is natural, even beautiful — but it doesn’t have to turn into hurry.
We can gently step away from the frenzy.
We can pause.
We can savor simple, sacred moments with family and friends as gifts from a loving Father.
We can create space to breathe, reflect, and prepare our hearts for the season of Advent.
But it won’t happen accidentally. Slowing down requires intention — a plan, a practice, a sacred pause.
